This project, located in Queen’s Park, was a specialised referral focused on rectifying a failing outdoor space. The original roof terrace, leading directly from the master bedroom, suffered from recurring leaks and poor structural integrity due to subpar previous construction.

The Challenge: We encountered a significant height constraint between the existing roof joists and the door threshold.
Structural Corrections & Insulation
The Solution: Our team fabricated bespoke furring pieces to maximize the available space and establish the precise falls required for effective drainage.
Insulation: We installed Rockwool insulation between the joists to create a high-performing “cold roof” assembly.
ROOF TERRACE BUILDER IN QUEENS PARK
There was already an existing roof Terrace from the master bedroom out onto the Terrace unfortunately the Terrace had multiple leaks and was not constructed very well. London Roof Gardens stripped everything back to Roof Joyce Taylor made furring pieces as there wasn’t quite enough room between the existing Joyce and the door threshold so we made our own furring pieces to create the correct fools.

Installed Rockwall insulation in between the roof joists to construct a cold roof counter patterns one inch marine ply with an IkO armour plan single ply flat roof system followed by enhanced grain millboard decking on millboard support pads, we then replaced the glass around the perimeter using PnP glazing.
